# Proxy Termination and Common Issues Regarding Proxy Configuration
- What is a proxy? Why is it necessary to configure a proxy?
- Providing Network: The proxy acts as the "broadband" for the cloud phone to access the internet. Only after the proxy settings are completed can this cloud phone connect to the network; otherwise, it will display "Proxy not configured".
- Maintain anonymity: The proxy also plays a crucial role in protecting your anonymous information when accessing the app. It helps you achieve better privacy protection and prevents your real IP address from being exposed.
- Mobile Phone Simulation: The quantum cloud can automatically simulate SIM card information, mobile base station information and GPS information based on the geographical location information of the configured proxy IP.
- What should be noted when configuring the proxy?
2.1 Restrictions on Proxy Types
Currently, only Sock5 type proxy IPs are supported. HTTP(S) and SSH types of proxy IPs are not supported at present.
2.2 Regional Restrictions
The proxy IP for the Chinese mainland is not supported. It can only be achieved through channel conversion.

- What type of proxy IP should I choose?
The risk control intensity of different apps varies. You need to select different proxy IPs according to your different business types.
Generally, TikTok operation recommends using a static residential IP with dual ISPs, and the IP should not be shared among multiple devices or multiple users.
- Where can I purchase an agent IP?
The quantum cloud machine itself does not provide a proxy IP. You can purchase the appropriate proxy IP according to your needs and configure it to be used in the cloud mobile device.
